Marit Hultman loves folk dance.
She began folk dancing when she was ten years old and since the age
of eighteen she has been a dance instructor.
She is from Sondre
Land, married, and the
mother of three children, two boys and a girl. Her husband and two of her
children are also planning to attend the stevne.
Marit and her husband were pleased to participate in the 1992 7-Lag Stevne
in North Dakota along with a
Norwegian folkdance group from Numedal. That
year her dance group performed in Hanska, Morris, Fosston,
Duluth
and Minneapolis.
Marit has American relatives that she hopes to meet while here. Her mother’s
cousin lives in Kalispell, Montana.
In Norway Marit works with the mentally disabled, a job she finds extremely
rewarding.
